One of only three libraries to receive Wisconsin’s top rating, the Edward U. Demmer Memorial Library collection includes 29,375 books and serial volumes in Print, 1,790 audio materials, 1,434 video materials, and 88 subscriptions. The library also offers computer terminals for public use, wireless internet, fax services, a library limo service, story hour, a book discussion group, and meeting room facilities.
Services & Programs:
- Public Use Computers: The library provides three public access terminals connected to the Internet as well as wireless Internet throughout the building. The three public access terminals also include Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint. Patrons may print from our public use computers. - Wireless Internet: A laptop computer, PDA or other device with WiFi capability that supports the WiFi standard, IEEE 802.11b or g may be used to access the network. Your device should automatically detect a new connection. No user names or passwords are required. Wireless users do not have the option of printing using the Demmer Library’s printer.
- Library Limo Service: Can’t come to the library? Let the library come to you. Area homebound patrons have the same access to materials as other patrons: check out books, videos, DVDs, books on cassette, books on CD, or musical CDs. Learn more.
- Meeting Room: The library offers meeting room facilities at no cost for groups and organizations. Groups are subject to the library’s Meeting Room Policy. A signed copy of the application must be submitted for review and approval prior to your meeting. - Copy Machine: The Demmer Library maintains a public copier. It is a plain paper copier (sorry no color copies). Fees apply. Learn more.
